As some of you may be aware, with the, ahem, change in circumstances around the world, we have to think of innovative ways to keep going!
With this in mind, a few weeks ago I put up a post outlining how you could buy wines from some great producers here in Piemonte and have them delivered to you, even under lockdown.
Well, I have also had an article published in The Local Italy which mentions this as well as going into reasons why you might like to – apart from the obvious one of liking the wines…
If you have never read The Local Italy, you should! Better yet, become a member: there is much more content available, and the subscription will help them to become less dependent upon advertising revenue, which, as you may imagine, has fallen drastically since February…
There is great content, inspiration, ideas and practical information on just about everything you might need or want to know about Italy. At €35 for a full year, or €100 for three years, it’s great value, as well as great reading!
Not only this, but in addition to covering Italy in all its myriad glory and, occasionally, buffoonery, they have sister publications around Europe covering Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Norway, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland
What’s not to like…? Local Heroes indeed!
If you would like to find out more about the wineries that I am working with and how to purchase from them – or if you have a favourite producer that you would be interested in – just drop me a line at evan@piemontemio.com and I will gladly help you out!
Now I am off to have my lunch – the weather is truly beautiful here, and a bite to eat on the terrace is just the ticket.
Then I’ll get working on a post about what to drink as lockdown eases and you’re allowed out – whether to Barnard Castle, or (considerably…) closer to home! Check out Brew Dog’s cheeky new beer on that theme…
